My top specialties are in PHP, JavaScript, Java and Ruby. Which I use mostly for custom web and mobile applications (some cross platform, but mostly native), custom CMS add-ons/themes, extending current applications via various APIs, (user interface) design, database (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Oracle), problem solving and flexibility.
For problem solving, regardless of the language or platform, I’m on it; especially if it’s said that it cannot be done. I love a good challenge.
My flexibility comes from working for start-ups before the Dot-com bubble burst. This required being able to wear many hats; it’s now a part of my work character. If I’m not in Sublime/vi/PHPStorm or NetBeans writing a model class for a LAMP, Angular or J2EE web app, or tweaking a Selenium WebDriver job for Jenkins, testing with Jasmine or Mocha for Q/A; then I’m probably in Photoshop or Axure RP prototyping the next design; with the tattered/well read “Don’t Make Me Think/Rocket Surgery Made Easy” and “Project Guide to UX Design” books on near me.
